Hmm. It was the sole Labour stronghold in a Tory town, so you can be sure that the people there are a) very conservative b) very poor c) very cross d) very white-English. Since those are precisely the characteristics that the BNP has been targeting, I'm not sure there's much more of a lesson than 'targeted marketing works'...
