This was of course a cornerstone of UKIP's flat tax proposals. They went for £9,000 in the original paper of 2006, but current thinking is round it up to £10,000.
Now, if only they'd nick our idea about getting out of the EU ...

Yes but thats just to cover real inflation Nothing more

Is the only sensible number. Don't punish people for working!
