"Tax allowance may rise to £10,000"

Does what it says on the tin.

This was of course a cornerstone of UKIP's flat tax proposals. They went for £9,000 in the original paper of 2006, but current thinking is round it up to £10,000.

Now, if only they'd nick our idea about getting out of the EU ...

Tax allowance may rise to Infinity.

Is the only sensible number. Don't punish people for working!
