If in doubt, go over the lines with a 4B pencil and a ruler. Crude but effective.
accepting that ruled lines sit entirely comfortably with the Caulfield style... my suggestion is that it is highly effective to get the underlying perspective 100% correct (as you've done, BTW) and then carefully render the 'straight' lines by hand
A purist does the straight lines by hand, but that's really difficult if you are restricted to using A4 paper (that being the size of your scanner).
