"G8 aims to halve greenhouse gases"

Er ... what's the point, exactly?

According to St John of Redwood's magic fag packet:

It is important to bear in mind some figures on the relative role of UK humans in greenhouse gas totals. CO2 is only 3.6% of total greenhouse gas - water vapour is by far and way the dominant one. The UK is only 2% of total human activity on the planet, and human activity only accounts for 3.4% of the CO2 emitted - the rest comes from natural sources. This means that the UK human contribution to total greenhouse gas in the world is 0.0025%.

CO2 is also only 0.03% of the atmosphere.

CO2 change is correlated with temperature change. i.e. CO2 is not the primary cause of atmospheric temperature change.

The change in CO2/[change in heat trapped] is logarithmic not linear.

"Global Warming" is a scam

Good find, I've already passed this onto a fellow teacher so a few kids might get something to counterbalance the national curriculum's demands.

I believe the latest calculation puts the UK at 1.87% of world emissions. Even if the Chicken Licken movement is correct, our contribution to the problem is utterly insignificant.

Moreover we could eliminate our industrial CO2 completely and still make no difference because India and China don't buy the hoax and will keep on pumping the stuff out until they too have warm homes.

The whole thing really is the most unbelievable nonsense.
