Just took the lad and his mate from school to see this, it's quite good in a formulaic sort of way, the penultimate scene where the hero, Tony Stark, tries to chat up his personal assistant, Miss Pepper Potts (really!) is actually quite touching. Apparently the plot has nothing to do with the original comic strip, but ain't that always the way?

I think the film looks great from the trailers. I always found the comics weak so this can only exceed my expectations.
Did you see Catwoman?
Cute article. Catwoman as a character is so dependent on the standard of writing (e.g. she is enjoying a resurgence due to a neo-noir facelift courtesy of some very good crime writers) that a bunch of Hollywood hacks were always going to make a total balls-up of it.
