In the summer of '79 I was snowed on in May (Shap) and September (North Yorkshire).
Question for you, then. Which is better? Parade or Sign of the Times.
My own view is that Parade is the better album, but Sign of the Times has achieved the position of Recognised Classic Album, so people think it is.
Sign of the times. And I have owned each since when they came out (more or less) so I am not judging on basis of 20/20 hindsight. Altho' Parade is quite good as well.
Dearieme, I have it on good authority that it is more likely to snow at Easter than at Xmas (the dad of one of my daughter's friends reckons he saw it on the BBC once, so it must be true), but May and September is impressive.
