We don't do organic either. But we have given up on battery chicken. We hope that free range birds really are treated more humanely: they do taste a little better. But not as good as roadkill pheasant or venison.
"Organic" is a con, I am quite sure, but yes, free range meat tastes a bit better, plus you don't have such a conscience about killing the poor little animals. Have you really ever eaten roadkill?
Pheasant often, venison once.
