"Mother dies after refusing blood"

One small step back for organised religion, one small step forward for the Darwinian gene pool.

The children were successfully delivered some hours earlier. To qualify for a Darwin award, death has to occur before reproducing.

Added to which, the way things are going in our maternity wards, I would reserve judgment until we know if this is the real reason or just an excuse for the hospital losing a patient.

After all, you never hear of a hospital making things up to divert scrutiny from lack of care, do you?

Only if we chose to through charity.

Simon, a young father brining up 2 kids, do you really think he won't be round to Social Services etc?

Having said that I suppose the JV's may step in to help him.

I've been an accountant too long. 'JV' to me means 'joint venture'. D'you mean 'JW'? Please elucidate!

The Great Simpelton,

I meant under libertarianism. Vindico was saying how libertarianism was good because it would not force her to stay alive and you said that we would end up paying for it. Whilst this is true of Britain today it would not be true, unless we chose to do so, under libertarianism :)
