Masks seem to work.. Really? People were wearing masks while cases grew in October and November. They still wear them while cases are falling. The evidence is inconclusive
G, like everything with Covid, everybody picks and chooses statistics to support their case. A lot is unclear or disputed. There are unknown unknowns. But on balance, I'll accept that masks reduce infection rates, however slightly.
For example, how do we know that cases wouldn't have risen faster without masks? We don't. Maybe they would have even risen more slowly, who knows?
M, quite, we never know "what would have happened", even if we think we do. However, the physics behind mask wearing are easy to understand and make sense.

It's very relevant because if the four virions held "hands"in a line they could walk through the holes in those stupid masks.
DCB, they could, but the water droplet they are in couldn't.

DCB, I'm with Bayard on this one. Masks seem to work.
