That's a rather unfortunate headline really ("Naked pedestrians will see drivers slow", springs to mind), but this will raise the spirits of anti-traffic lights etc campaigners across the country.
It's only if towns are brave enough to actually do it that will we see whether the strategy 'works' or not, and hence that we can win the argument.
And it will and we will, of course.

"Pool picture ban over paedophile fears"
An [82 year-old widow] was told she could not take snaps of an empty paddling pool because she might be a paedophile.
