You've got to give credit for one thing, though, MW - they've relegated the "value" of the house from the main headline to the sub-headline.

Bet they wouldn't, had the house been worth a couple of million.

Going to be in Ipswich next week for the first time; are there many lunatic gun dealers with shotguns and mental health conditions there? I think I should be told.

FT, they decided that "Grade-II listed farmhouse" was enough to whet the reader's appetite.

Catch 22 - If you claim to be insane, it shows you aren't because you are able to know the difference. An insane person would claim that what he/she is doing is reasonable (to him/her) and therefore can not be insane (said my psychiatrist friend who I consider to be madder than a box of frogs).

PS, ah yes, but you can get psychiatrists to diagnose anything nowadays, so what you want is a diagnosis of " sane most of the time with occasional bouts of madness". During your sane phase, you can recognise what you did during mad phase was mad.

A bit like sobering up and realising that [something you did the previous day] was a bit mad.
