Just needs some bunting and prices in the windows to complete the look.
BJ, tee hee!
"https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/road-and-rail-transport/11372181/Businessman-buys-3m-Holy-Trinity-of-supercars.html"
Assuming this was the reference, which one is which? i.e the P1, 916, La Ferrari?
BJ, sod that. What's wrong with the holy trinity of affordable mass produced roadsters? The speed limit in this country is 70 mph.
... and those three aren't even soft top or targa top.
Why?
L, why what?
@MW
The 916 is a targa.
Any chance of a car review comparing the pros and cons of your "trinity"?
Why don't you use the street or pavement for parking, for free?
BJ, maybe it is.
I will do the comparison when I have had the Del Sol sorted out properly.
RS, on street is not free, it's £80 per car. Drive is free and I prefer it anyway.
BJ, the old 914 or 916 were targa tops. The new 918 is also targa. That's me told.
Your answer should have been 'because'.
If you can get hold of a 914 or even better 916 at cheap money, buy it. They will appreciate.
L "at cheap money", there's the problem.
A local mechanic has been 'restoring' a black one for years, he's not getting anywhere. Rear badges removed so I don't know if it is a 914 or a 916.
@MW
Classic Japanese cars are defo the way forward. Shows thinking outside the box :)
BJ, the strange thing about del sols is that there are only about 300 left in the UK.
@MW
Was there many in the first place?
So you've gone front engine RWD, front engine FWD and a mid/rear. Is that on purpose?
BJ, yes and yes.
One auto, one rear-mid, one fwd, all I need is a normal car.
