There's nowt like plain speaking Yorkshire folk...

From the BBC:

The supermarket chain Morrisons is to revive the Safeway name for some of the food it makes for independent retailers...

Announcing the new strategy, which it said would be "capital light", the company said: "The re-introduction of the Safeway brand will enable Morrisons to leverage its sourcing and unique food maker skills to give independent retailers' customers access to great quality products. The UK convenience market is very broad and diverse, with around three-quarters held by independents."

D, I think they also do "customer-focused liquid-based anti-dehydration options"

Bet they pronounce "leverage" with a short "e" as well.

B, the first e or the second one?

I get so used to reading that sort of managerialese that I didn't notice the joke at first. 0/10 must try harder.

If Safeway is such a reputable brand name why aren't Morrisons selling goods with that label in their own shops (which is what is being implied-ish here)?

Mark the first "e". I have noticed that "leverage" with a long first "e" is mechanics, but when it's to do with finance, it's a short first "e" as in American.

DBCR, good one.
