The Brick has Landed ...

This popped up on my facebook feed via a labour voter, and I'd have thought they'd be more sympathetic.

So I clicked for some more comments, and realised that Labour really is well and truly screwed up beyond all recognition:

Yes, my Labour MP has apparently been emailing all her members demanding that Corbyn resigns even though her local branches have just voted in his favour.

Well and truly screwed.

I am genuinely shocked by this. Have I read the comments correctly?

@Woman on a Raft

The political left has always been riven with factions, the People's Front of Judea scene in Monty Python's Life of Brian is a satire of that.

The Blair years were where Labour managed to contain the disputes for long enough to get into power, because they were so desperate for power after so many years in the wilderness.

But it was always a thin veneer really. The old disagreements are breaking through and rearing their ugly head again.

Angela Eagle is stirring up forces unknown for unknown reasons and she doesn't have the faintest chance of winning anything, let alone a general election.

While throwing bricks clearly is a crime, if you try and fuck up your own party and then can't take a bit of stick on Twitter you shouldn't be in politics.

Has anyone discovered whether the shards of broken glass were inside the building or outside?

RT - they are nutters!

WoaR - I was pretty taken aback too.

MW - Do you think she's the 'stalking horse' or whatever it is they call the suicide candidate?

ps - Do you think there is anything in the conspiracy theories then?

Total basket case, Labour.

S yes I do.

'stalking horse',

yep, I think they sat around and worked out who wanted to retire to the Lords at the end of this year.Is she the elder of two eagles? Obviously, Mr Benn (apple fell far from the tree)thinks he has a lot offer the Labour movment and will lead a charge again mid term if May is to believed.

Still, project LVT to the local Labour party continues my end. If the PLP had effectively ended democracy in the party, I would have joined the Greens. Which is what my 'permaculture' Mrs MikeW, would have wanted all along!

I worry about this. Why? I am not at all 'socialist'. Because, you cannot have white without black. The House of Commons needs the adversarial debate to drive effective policy making. Unless there is a robust challenge to a policy, it will be flawed. It is the argument that is needed. And that is what has been lacking under the 'continuity Blairism' practised by Cameron and Co.

The winning comment!

The penny has finally dropped. Will the next instalment be called "Where Bricks Dare"?

@Steven_L
Thank you, I wish it weren't true. At least I am not an Iraqi. If anyone wants to copy it please do so.

I hope there is no next instalment, I'm not one for violence.

Turns out it wasn't the window of the Angela the Eagle's office after all, but another window in the building that houses her office and could quite possibly simply been a piece of random vandalism or an attempt to break into the building.
