From the linked webpage:

"NEWS MOST VIEWED

1: Matt LeBlanc is 'planning to quit Top Gear if co-host Chris Evans does not go first'

2: The EU will treat Britain like Greece"

etc etc.

Shows the nation's priorities.

The morons are out in force. All legal foreigners already here have no fear of expulsion or anything else. Their rights are protected under existing international laws.

A, that's a bit unfair. After all they have been deluged with Bremainer lies and no real rebuttals from the Brexiteers, who preferred to peddle their own version of Project Fear.

The referendum was hijacked by the mass of fascists who have lurked in the British shadows since Oswald Mosley and his Union movement set off the Notting Hill Race Riots to promote his ideas of an EU which replaced Britains traditional migrant labour from the West Indies and Ireland with good continental European stock. It now appears that the Fascists don't want the Europeans either and are busy leaving leaflets around Huntingdon ( and Peterborough).British anti immigrant feeling has been around my entire lifetime.
The Poles have every right to defend themselves against this vermin (what they call the Poles in Huntingdon).
Do not forget that right wing governments bribe the shadow dwellers to vote against the working class by guaranteed untaxed, unearned gains in house prices.Homeownerism is fascist policy.

DBCR, You play your "all Brexiteers are Fascist racists" and I'll play my "all Bremainers are corporatist elitists". Now where, precisely, has that got us?

That is why we are leaving the EU. Since 1991 every time someone has said I don't like x in the EU. The EU lovers have said "racist" and closed the debate. As a short term policy very effective, long term not very clever.
I voted leave but in an ideal world in the past the EU would have listened to people who didn't like it and changed. Sadly no sign of changing.

I disagree. The referendum was hijacked by Tories fighting a leadership contest. Because the leaders of both sides knew they were finished if the other side won, they came out with more and more outrageous lies and threats, knowing they had nothing to lose and everything to gain.

@B2 The Tory Oxford Union jolly boys thought that the Referendum was a wizard wheeze to become Prime Minister which they think is their God-given right. But as soon as low-life Farage got immigration up the agenda the fascist-minded electorate made an effort to vote for a change. My neighbour's caravan site was deserted on the day of the Referendum with people going home to vote ( to be nasty to people different from them in some minor regard).
@Lf Serious criticism of the EU has always come from the Left from Tony Benn onwards.I voted for Bob Crowe's NO2EU which challenged the anti public sector; anti union; anti Keynesian reflation bias of the EU.
@B1 The EU gives support to both fascists (who are now out of hiding and roaming the streets telling law- abiding workers to go home) and corporatist industrialists (because it gives away its fascist nature by the emphasis on corporations which are a strictly fascist feature ( see Oswald Mosley's Union movement on Wikipedia)

No non left wing criticism of the EU has been serious? You are not really saying that are you?

DBCR, sadly I have to agree that the majority vote for Brexit probably was as a result of xenophobia, racism and scapegoating on the part of Farago and his cohorts. Doesn't say much for the English (or Welsh) national character, does it?

However, as you say, in the light of recent history, that aspect of the Leave campaign was pretty inevitable.

@Lf
I am referring to coherent political programmes to reform the EU economic set-up: I include "The Labour Case for a leave vote tomorrow" published in Guardian Letters 22.vi.16 by Kelvin Hopkins, Kate Hoey and union leaders: and Bob Crow's NO2EU material now collected on Wikipedia.
I know of no comparable right -wing critiques, hardly surprisingly as early EU policy was sketched out in corporate /fascist circles (see Oswald Mosley's Union Movement on Wikipedia).
