"The motive for the attack is unclear"

The BBC surpasses itself with this one:

One man has been killed and three others wounded by a knife-wielding man near Munich, with police investigating a possible Islamist connection.

The man attacked four commuters shortly before 05:00 (03:00 GMT) on Tuesday at Grafing station. One of the victims died of his wounds in hospital. A 27-year-old German man was eventually overpowered by police and arrested.

Some witnesses said he shouted "Allahu akbar" ("God is great" in Arabic) but the motive for the attack is unclear.

From other reports, it is perfectly clear that he is a Muslim immigrant (possibly second generation).

The man was described as having a mental condition, but there have been so many similar incidents that the mental condition needs to be given a proper label. How about Sudden Jihad Syndrome?

So your conclusion is that the motive for the attack is what? Or are we supposed to assume that all Muslims are prone to attacking other people for no discernable reason?

We are talking about risk factors here. It is like a mental illness. Most schizophrenia sufferers are not violent but a few are.

The reason is very discernible. Is there any known case of a Christian Scientist who has attacked someone as a result of having read "Science and Health", by Mary Eddie Baker, the founder?
