Just you carry on saying that Jean Claude, just say it again. I dare you. I double dare you.

Here

Listen son.  Since 1914 we have three times spent blood and treasure saving 'Europe' from itself.  Just why do we need to do that again?  Eh?  Just tell me why?  In any event us getting out will liberate European nations (once again) from the empire builders and grotty little strutting functionaries like you.

I've got your number son, and I know where you live.  If (when) it all goes pear shaped I'll be popping round to see you with three big mates to have a quiet word about your likely fairly short future.  Just you see if I won't.

Update

Some good graphs here.

I think our membership of the EU is what you might call "trapped in an abusive relationship".

Also he is a twat because he cannot seem to distinguish "Europe" from "the EU".

L'Europe, c'est le EU, n'est-ce pas?

The best response I've heard to people who insist on talking about the UK leaving Europe is "If we do leave, can we go somewhere warm, like the Caribbean?"

B, Caribbean is too far for me, too hot etc.

I reckon that we ought to slide GB south west to fill the gap between Ireland and Spain, that gives us more temperate weather and excellent surfing beaches along the whole west coast.

Sounds good, but we'd still be in Europe. If we kept the same latitude, but parked GB on the Mid-Atlantic ridge, we could claim to be in America, plus we would have our own unique timezone.

B, I don't want to be in America, that's even worse than the EU.

M, you wouldn't be in the USA, any more than Mexico is.

This discussion reminds me that when I was at Bristol Poly in the 80s there was a fake society called the SWOC..... "Saw Wales Off Club" - there seemed to be no Welsh members, so I guess they just wanted rid of them.

Just west of the Azores would be good. Nice climate and a very strategic position, economically and militarily.

D, yes, think of the tourist trade.

NB According to Goldstein's "Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism" the UK is in Oceania with the US.Certainly feels like it.
