That's like thinking that Calais has a serious alcohol problem because of all the warehouses selling booze.

On the border with France :) I wonder how many Frenchmen cross there into Germany everyday?
Got to hand to the Germans. They take their balance of trade very seriously.
Good one. The town is within easy driving distance of Lux, Belgium and France.

Yeah. It's about an hour from Metz. If you're a Frenchman, is that worth it to be legal? Probably.
This has happened in Sweden - Copenhagen has seen a surge in visitors from Malmo (especially as there's now a bridge between the two).
