Head of the Windsor Family

From the Telegraph

The Queen has broken her silence about the potential break-up of the United Kingdom by warning Scots to think “very carefully about the future” before casting their votes in the independence referendum.

The Queen, sat behind a desk in a dark office stroking a cat then told the Scots that they had a lovely country and it would be a shame if something happened to it.

She can always count on the UK government - meaning English taxpayers - to make up the shortfall in her income.

Ian Hills,
When we get to the point where the cost of the monarchy is my highest priority of slashing government, I'll be very happy.

James,
Well, yeah. Just a bit of silliness. I get the impression that as long as the Queen has her horses she isn't too bothered about what else happens.

I'm a republican not a monarchist, but all in all, I'd say the Queen has behaved very appropriately during all this, and she is allowed an opinion the same as anybody else.

Mark,

Absolutely. It was just one of those things where my brain got crossed with the way gangsters made threats and the idea of the Queen as Don Corleone just tickled me.

I'm a republican, but I can't fault her in the job.
