Random sounds

For the past few months, I've been getting random sounds when viewing Mark's blog. It started out as a vaguely relevant song "This is what you want, this is what you get", then progressed to adverts for Jersey as a tourist destination and now seems to be some US musos rambling into a microphone. Neither Mark nor I have any idea what is going on. Does anyone else have a clue?

Given that the internet is digital, I wouldn't have thought interference can be the issue.

Baffling. Perhaps you've got a weird virus.

I have experienced the same thing, but with another blog. I think that something has hacked itself into blogger somehow.

Dear Mr Bayard

I have had the same experience on Mr Puddlecote's blog. Sounds like the same music and rambling utterances minus the Jersey advertisement.

DP's blog is my gateway of choice to most of my regular reads. I changed to Mr Snowdon's VGIF blog for a while to avoid it. It seems to have stopped lo these past few months.

Hope this helps*.

* Can't see how though ...

I should have kept my big mouth shut (or sticky fingers off the keyboard, actually) as the problem is now five times worse. Instead of getting a short burst at signing in, I'm now getting the damn musos all the time.

If you are hearing random audio ads playing in the background, then your computer is probably infected with a piece of malware known as Rootkit.Boot.Harbinger.a

Hope this helps

How to remove it.
