Faster than lighting beacons, I guess.

If anyone's got a better headline, shoot...

Isn't it 'Gandalf'?

Lola,

No, that's the wizard's name. Gondor is the kingdom.

(after that scene there's this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDBPmEAheCY

I'm with L, that's Gandalf. He might be in 'Gondor' (which I had never heard of) but that's not really the point.

Mark,

It's in the film. The lighting of the beacons, which Gandalf initiates ends with the line "Gondor calls for aid".

But who in Gondor called for aid? Gandalf?

A shame it's an apple, otherwise you could have had:

"It looks like you're trying to save Middle Earth from the evil domination of Sauron.

Would you like help?"

That's an Apple Palantir. Trouble is it's been hacked so when you skype with it, it always connects to Barad-Dur. I think Gandalf is trying to sort it out.

I hope somebody sends him a link to "They're taking the Hobbits to Isengard" on YouTube.
