Ah, fuck it.
The BBC proudly announces that our elected representatives yesterday succumbed to group think by a margin of 376 votes to 107.
Meanwhile, 143 of those they claim to represent voted as follows:
Should smoking in a vehicle with a child present be a criminal offence?
Yes - 7%
No - 93%

If anybody has a bright idea for this week's Fun Online Poll, please leave a comment/send me an email etc. I'm starting to get a bit despondent about all this.

How about a poll on the flooding blame game?
AKH, that's on my to do list, I'm working on the precise wording of the questions and the possible answers.
Ones which spring to mind are: Lord Smith, the EU, savage Tory cuts, socialist Labour cuts, the failure of the Invisible Hand to function when land is sub-divided, Climate Change, bad luck, excessive press coverage of relatively isolated incidents, etc.
Suggestions?
How about Barbara Young, British weather, the wrong type of rain, lack of dredging, the EU, too many journalists or people not using enough water because of water meters.
AKH, good ones, I'll add 'em to the list. But I'm not sure what Barbara Young has got to do with it.
According to a number of sources the previous CEO of the Environment Agency, Barbara Young, once said she would like to place limpet mines on all the old pumping stations just to get rid of them.
the inhabitants of the flooded areas? Someone's got to be blaming them. You've also forgotten gay marriage.
AKH, ta, but did she?
B, I've spent the last 20 minutes trying to set up the poll and of course gay marriage was on there. but pollcode.com keeps crashing. Bloody free and easy to use internet services, eh?
