The Daily Mash on top form

From The Daily Mash:

A UK Independence Party councillor has blamed recent storms and floods on the Government's decision to legalise gay marriage.

David Silvester, who defected from the Tories last year in protest at David Cameron's support for same-sex unions, claimed he had warned the Prime Minister that the legislation would result in 'disasters'…

Glorious, go over and read the rest yourself.

He reasons in the same manner as Stanton Glantz ... he'll go far. ;)

AK,

Well, as a result of gay marriage, the gays are having less sex* than they did before. This means they're less knackered on a Sunday morning and more likely to go out picking curtains, generating more CO2 from their cars, causing greater evaporation and increasing the prevalence of storms.

TS, yes, Climate Change is all down to those Citroen DS4s, isn't it?

Completely OT, but I wish Citroen would make a new version of the old DS. Beautiful car, that was.

TS, I though Mark was referring to the old DS and then I was disappointed.

VFTS, I would like to think so, but some jokes are just so bloody obvious that different people arrive at them independently.

But it wasn't "news" when he expressed these views as a Tory councillor.

There are a lot of councillors with silly ideas (there is one in Scotland gets quite a bit of coverage saying UFOs are thick on the ground in Bonnybridge). Of course it is possible the BBC/LabConDems are praising UKIP - saying that it is the rarity of UKIP councillors being silly that makes it newsworthy.
