Woy Hattersley:
Woy Jenkins (perhaps a bit before your time but a master!)
DBC, are you sure about Hattersley? His problem is spraying spit when he talks, isn't it?
Jenkins is obviously one of them though (Gang of Four etc, I remember him well). Fascinating fact - Jenkins was a code breaker at Bletchley Park.
Bwian Fewwie?
That bloke who got told off by the BBC for being ruse who's name escapes me.
L, seriously, was the lead singer of Roxy Music called "Roy"?
"I thought you were taking Marquand with you."
Heckling Roy Jenkins in 1976 when, during his farewell speech to the Parliamentary Labour Party before leaving to become President of the European Commission, he said: "I leave this party without rancour". Jenkins, who famously pronounced his Rs like Ws, left the Commons at the same time as David Marquand, the MP for Ashfield and a close ally of Jenkins.Wikiquotes
Dennis Skinner
Will, thanks for the anecdote, but again, I must seriously ask, is Dennis Skinner called "Roy"?
