Now That's What I Call Resignation Language

Except he doesn't mention it.   But everyone's favourite "man prepared to think the unthinkable" Frank Field has some quite damning things to say about the way the government he swiftly agreed to be "an advisor on poverty to" in 2010 is behaving :-

Bedroom tax is worthy of Stalin, says government's poverty tsar

The government's poverty tsar, Frank Field, has condemned the "bedroom tax" as a form of social engineering that would have made Joseph Stalin proud.
and the comments are jolly fun, too, and open with a good 'un.

Bearing in mind how Frank Field is universally loathed BTL, and often damned as one that should join the Blue Tories, it should be quite funny seeing how many CiFers are now desperate to claim that he is always worth listening to, and that they've always actually liked him.

He's getting a bit hysterical there is old FF (the authoritarian and He Who Knows Better).

I believe in LVT as the only tax and at least half of it to be dished out as a Citizen's Income (or not collected in the first place if you see Citizen's Income as a personal allowance). So there's no real argument against bumping up social rents slightly (or indeed scrapping Housing Benefit as a separate benefit) provided that is matched with higher basic welfare income.

That leads to a more efficient allocation of social housing, which must be a good thing (and lower profits for sub-letters).
