Schoolgirl Aimee Bowen suffered severe sunburn during a sports day because her school has banned bottles of suncream.
Aimee, 10, returned home bright red and covered in blisters after the event. Her parents, Andrew and Victoria, said they were told pupils weren’t allowed to bring in sunblock in case other children had an allergic reaction to it.
Pennard Primary School, near Swansea, south Wales, said it followed sun safety guidelines and parents could go to school during the lunch break to reapply cream.

Heath and Safety regs are there to allow you to do more things safely not stop you doing things. Did the Head do risk assessment or was it just less hassle to ban sun lotion?
This means that the parents of ginger kids won't be able to work unless it's right next door to a school.
They're beginning to really tie themselves in knots, the poor preciouses. :)
That was very unlucky. I have been to Swansea in the summer and there was not enough sun to burn anyone (even me and I burn in minutes in London or hours in Scotland).
