"Round the world in a £300 motor"

Nice to see one of my friends in The Sun.

Tessie, Loong, Lewis & Dwight, you rock!

Glad you're back safe and sound and we'll see you on Saturday.

That is brilliant, give him a hearty slap on the back from me when you see him.

As Mrs B will not fly, under any circumstances, that might be how we do our round the world trip in a few years time. Although train is a very pleasant alternative.

You can run old cars on a shoestring and they will do many miles. I run a fleet of such cars all bought for prices in the range £0 (hand me down) to £300. It may cost you an occassional big bill, but you can take a view and throw it away and buy another one or fix it. Whatever it will be less than the depreciation on a new(er) one. Cars nowadays will do 200,000 miles without a major component change, if you look after them.

They are a triumph (pun intended) of capitalism.
