It will be intersting to see Boy Dave's reaction. Either this is Tory policy and he will suport him, or it isn't an he will be sacked.

Looks like Christopher has been availing himself of the legendary Brussels gravy train a little too liberally methinks! What a fat slob. And as for his views on the euro, I have a horrible feeling he could be right. These sort of decisions often get taken by the party you would least think likely to do so - the Nixon rapproachmont with China syndrome. Probably Dave's big reaction to some massive economic problem circa 2012/3. "Trust me, I wouldn't take you into the euro unless it was absolutely neccessary". Yeh right!

His nickname isn't Christopher Beastly for nothing.

Wouldn't it be nice to get a comment from Boy Dave. Who is going to write and ask him?

One Conservative functionary says something off message and commentators grab at it as if it was a leak about future policy.

Grow up, FFS.

G-B, I'd assume that this is wishful thinking on CB's part, but you never know. It was the Tories who took us into the ERM, after all.

MW:" It was the Tories who took us into the ERM, after all."

Yes and with the full support of the other 2 parties who (of course) disavowed the decision when it (predictably) went wrong.

Beazley is merely saying out loud what the Tory leadership dare not to keep the grass roots onside. They play the long game and keep their love affair with all things EU under wraps.
