There are...November is the time to plant tulips. <br /><br />There are two main schools of thought, either plant them on their side or plant them upright but with sharp sand immediately below the bulb. <br /><br />Tulip bulbs have a basal plate - a ring on the base from which the roots grow - if the basal plate gets too wet the bulb perishes. <br /><br />I have tried both methods but am yet to get a bulb to last for more than two years. <br /><br />Here endeth the gardening lesson. <br />TheFatBigothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17255526385076528633noreply@blogger.com
